CMC Manufacturing & Batch Quality Control
See how FSX Chemical manages CMC raw-material selection, production control, finished-batch testing, batch-specific COA preparation, packing and export readiness at its Foshan manufacturing base.
CMC Quality Control Starts with Raw-Material Selection
Cotton-linter feedstock is reviewed against defined incoming requirements before entering the CMC production process at the Foshan manufacturing base.
Cotton-linter properties can affect cellulose purity, process consistency and finished CMC characteristics. Raw-material review therefore takes place before release to production.
Incoming materials are checked against defined acceptance criteria, identified by supplier and incoming batch, and stored under specified conditions before release to production.
Cotton-Linter Selection
Raw-material selection focuses on cellulose quality and suitability for the intended CMC grade and production route.
Incoming Material Inspection
Appearance, identity and defined incoming parameters are checked before material release to production.
Source Traceability
Supplier, source and incoming-batch information are recorded to support production traceability.
Storage Control
Materials are identified and stored to reduce moisture exposure, contamination and unintended batch mixing.
CMC Manufacturing Capacity & Production Control
At the Foshan manufacturing base, CMC processing equipment, process monitoring, utility systems, finished-product handling and packing areas support commercial batch production.
From Cellulose Feedstock to Finished CMC
This simplified overview shows eight main stages from raw-material preparation to finished-batch packing and release. Batch testing and release controls are detailed in the next section.
01
Raw-Material Preparation
Cotton-linter feedstock is prepared for the defined CMC production route.
02
Alkalization
Cellulose is activated under defined process conditions.
03
Etherification
The etherification step forms sodium carboxymethyl cellulose under defined process conditions.
04
Washing & Purification
Residual materials are reduced through controlled washing.
05
Controlled Drying
Moisture is reduced before particle-size processing.
06
Milling & Sieving
The dried material is milled and sieved according to the specified particle-size range.
07
Batch Blending
Finished material is blended before finished-batch sampling and specification review.
08
Packing & Release
Finished batches are identified and packed, with release determined against the applicable batch criteria.
Batch-Level CMC Testing Before Product Release
Finished CMC batches are sampled, and the required results are reviewed against the confirmed specification before final batch release and shipment preparation.
Reliable comparison requires clearly defined sample preparation, concentration, temperature, instrument and measurement conditions.
Finished-Batch Sampling
A finished-batch sample is collected according to the applicable sampling procedure.
Agreed Test Method
Measurement conditions are recorded for comparable results.
Specification Review
Measured values are checked against the confirmed specification.
COA & Batch Release
Results meeting the applicable specification support batch release and preparation of the batch-specific COA.
A batch is released for shipment only after the required laboratory results have been reviewed against the applicable specification.
Finished Product Packing & Export Readiness
Released batches are packed and staged according to the confirmed order before container loading and export dispatch.
Industrial Packing
Released CMC batches can be packed in standard 25 kg bags, jumbo bags or other agreed industrial formats, subject to order requirements.
Warehouse & Pallet Preparation
Packed goods are organized for pallet preparation and staging according to the confirmed order and loading arrangement.
Loading Verification
Product identity, quantity, packaging and loading status are reviewed against the confirmed order before container dispatch.
Packing format, pallet requirements and container-loading arrangements can be reviewed according to the product, quantity, destination, handling needs and confirmed order terms. Export readiness covers packing and loading preparation and does not confirm destination-country import clearance.
